Shannon Fennell
International Award Winning Make-Up Artist & Face Painter

Shannon Fennell is a professional Make-Up Artist and has won numerous awards and prizes for her costume and make-up designs over the years. Most recenty she won BEST COSTUME at the UK Face Painting Convention in November 2007 and placed Second at the US BODY PAINTING FESTIVAL in Albuquerque, New Mexico in September 2007. In November 2006 she won the FANTASY WORLDWIDE FACEPAINTING CONTEST held in Belgium. She was also named INTERNATIONAL FACE PAINTER OF THE YEAR in October of 2005 at the UK Face Painting Convention and voted TOP FACE PAINTER IN NORTH AMERICA by her peers in January of 2006.

In 2007 Shannon was the first face painter outside of the UK to gain accreditation as an Advanced Face Painter from FACE, The Face Painting Association. Shannon was also honoured when the Canadian Cancer Society chose to use photos of her face painting on their 2006 Relay for Life print materials and Snazaroo USA Inc. is using her work in their product catalogue.

Shannon is the Make-Up and Hair Coordinator for the Grande Prairie Live Theatre in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Credits also include Royal City Musical Theatre's production of "The King & I" at the Massey Theatre in New Westminster, BC, and "When We Are Married" for the Metro Theatre Cooperative in Vancouver, BC. Shannon has worked on well over 50 theatrical productions (click here to see a list of Shannon's theatrical credits) and film projects.

A graduate of the Blanche Macdonald Centre for Applied Design in Vancouver, BC, Shannon has also trained in Hollywood and continues to pursue advanced training in all aspects of make-up artistry.

Shannon is a multiple international award winning face painter (to see a list of awards click here.) She was only the third Canadian to be accepted as a member of FACE, The Face Painting Association an international organization based in the United Kingdom. She is also a member of the World Body Painting Association located in Austria.

Shannon lives in Grande Prairie, Alberta, Canada and travels internationally to work and compete.

Shannon is a sought after instructor and writer in the field of make-up and face painting happy to share her expertise with others. With her extensive business background she brings a different approach to an artistic endeavour.
